CHICAGO – Let’s face it, life does suck. But what can we do about that? How do we survive? Lookingglass Theatre Company’s latest stage presentation tries to answer those thorny questions through a group of fellow travelers, flung together at a cabin retreat, trying to figure out why (indeed) “Life Sucks.”
CHICAGO – Believe it or not, it’s already time to start holiday shopping, which means it’s the time of year that studios release lavish gift sets for their most beloved films. No one is better at this holiday season product design than Warner Bros., who has released great Limited Edition sets for “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factor,” “Ben-Hur,” and the “Harry Potter” films in recent years. The first one this year is one of the best I’ve seen, a gorgeously packaged and beautifully accompanied collection for “The Dark Knight Trilogy,” including awesome physical collectibles and 90 minutes of new special features.
CHICAGO – Holy Batgasm! Exclusive! Photos schmotos. Sure, we have those of the official “The Dark Knight Rises” Tumbler and Bat-Pod at Chicago’s Navy Pier on May 25, 2012 as part of the film’s Tumbler Tour. What you really want, though, is to hear that beast of a machine rev its freaking brain out.

CHICAGO – In 2012, one of the undisputed movie champions will be Christopher Nolan’s (final) Batman trilogy film: “The Dark Knight Rises”.
CHICAGO – The unassuming gentleman at a table signing books at last weekend’s Chicago Comic Con was none other than “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises” executive producer Michael Uslan.
CHICAGO – Liam Neeson may have opted out of landing a cameo in “The Hangover Part II,” but now sources are hinting that the Oscar-nominated actor may have set his sights on appearing in an even more anticipated sequel.
CHICAGO – Now’s the time that a lesser writer would make some plot-related pun related to ask if you remember “Memento,” one of the best films of the ’00s that also happens to feature a protagonist suffering from memory loss. One thing fans of writer/director Christopher Nolan would like to forget is how cruel the Academy has been to their favorite filmmaker over the last decade, failing to nominate him yet for Best Director and never giving him an Oscar. For shame.
CHICAGO – With shooting expected to begin in May 2011 for “The Dark Knight Rises,” Warner Bros. is currently busy scouting filming locations. While rumors have been running rampant for the last six months about which cities make the lucky cut, we now have two confirmed: Los Angeles and somewhere in the United Kingdom.
Film News: ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is Christopher Nolan’s Third Batman Film; Villain Isn’t The RiddlerSubmitted by HollywoodChicago.com on October 27, 2010 - 3:53pm
CHICAGO – “The Dark Knight” and “Batman Begins” mastermind Christopher Nolan made big Batman news today with two items that can now be confirmed: “The Dark Knight Rises” is the name of his third Batman film and The Riddler won’t be his villain in it.
CHICAGO – In many ways, Christopher Nolan’s “Insomnia,” recently released on beautiful Blu-ray, is the perfect companion piece to his new masterpiece, “Inception,” now playing in theaters. The film may not get the international attention of “The Dark Knight” but it stands as further proof that this man is one of our best living directors.
