Mel,

Not typically, unfortunately. The publicists we work with focus on the U.S. I’d be glad to look into it if there’s demand for it, though.

Do you think a lot of people around you would be interested in free movie screenings? Do you currently have anyone currently offering them to you?

Screening passes - Canada

Adam
There are four major daily newspapers here in Toronto. All of them offer screening passes on a semi-regular basis. A number of local radio stations also offer passes.
The passes are distributed on a ‘lottery’ basis and I am an infrequent winner so there certainly must be a demand. The number of attendees depends both on the movie hype and our great local climate. I am a movie lover and live near the subway line, so only ill health keeps me away!
Thanks for your prompt response. Mel

Screenings in Minneapolis?

Hey, I know screenings exist in Minneapolis, but I can never find them. There are a few in the local papers, but I’d love to find more!

I’ll look into Minneapolis, too, and get back to you!

Yep, screenings are in Minneapolis!

Per Neel Mehta’s old Advanced Screenings Guide General Tips, he says: “With every Wednesday comes a new advanced screening in City Pages; the announcement tells you where to pick up the pass. I’ve noticed movie promotions at Forty 5 TV and TwinCities.com. Also check out the daily Star-Tribune, and radio stations Jack FM, KDWB, Lite FM. Finally, comb through the offers of The Rake, and TV’s CBS 4, ABC 5, NBC 11, and The CW.” Again, sorry couldn’t add the links without getting an error message.

Jimmy,

That’s the first request I’ve heard for that market and I haven’t yet seen any screenings come through the pipeline for there. :( I’ll stay on it, though.
