Most Memorable Photo

My most memorable photo was at a Thanksgiving Buffet at a fancy Chicago hotel. The photo came with the package and was so bad we talked about it all year.

Most Memorable Holiday Picture

My most memorable picture was of me, my parents and siblings all dressed up in our Sunday best. My mom forgot to put her wig on and nobody seem to notice until after several pictures were taken.

IT WAS IN 1986 WHEN MY WHOLE FAMILY TOOK A CHRISTMAS PICTURE TOGETHER

cousin memories

My favorite family portrait is not one that features my siblings and parents, it’s one that shows me and my two closest cousins at a family reunion.

It shows me chewing on a balloon and the two other cousins standing over me smiling - it just makes me smile each time that I see it because no matter how far we’ve come and the different paths that we’ve taken in life - we are still as close and love one another just like we did over 30 years ago when that picture was taken.

My most memorable family holiday photo was...

when my family and I were visiting relatives in Italy during Christmas. We have pictures with people I know are my relatives, but I’d never met before (and may never see again!) Ah, the memories (and the hours I spent eating grapes in their grape vineyard… :-) )

THEATER, TV, DVD & BLU-RAY REVIEWS

  • Amelia

CHICAGO – It seems downright sad that “Amelia,” a movie that was so widely predicted to be a part of the 2009 awards season, would be released on Blu-ray and DVD on the same day as the Oscar announcements. On paper, “Amelia” seemed like Oscar bait through and through with important subject matter headlined by one of the few women to have more than one Oscar. On Blu-ray, it’s easy to see why this cinematic plane crashed and burned.

  • Fear and Loathing BD

CHICAGO – I know what you’re thinking: What do “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” and “Mystic River” have in common? Nothing at all other than a Blu-ray release date of February 2nd, 2010. Oh, and they’re two films you should probably own if you have a Blu-ray player.
