Report: AnnaLynne McCord of ‘90210’ Auditions For Heidi in ‘Twilight’ Sequel ‘New Moon’

CHICAGO – It’d be a small role for AnnaLynne McCord of TV’s “90210,” but E! Online reported moments ago that she has auditioned for the role of Heidi in the highly anticipated “Twilight” sequel “New Moon”.

While readers of the Stephenie Meyer adult fantasy-romance novel might barely remember Heidi, the character is designed to be “bait” or a siren who brings humans to vampires for noshing time.

If cast, AnnaLynne McCord would be in the film for all looks and very little play. In the “New Moon” novel, primary character Bella Swan (played in the first two films by Kristen Stewart) says Heidi has “exceptional” and “unforgettable” beauty, long hair, killer legs and violet eyes.

Reflective of the small role in the book, an E! Online source says the role of Heidi in the “New Moon” film isn’t a big part and would appear like a cameo. AnnaLynne McCord already has a connection to “New Moon” in that “90210” co-star Kellan Lutz played the character of Emmett in “Twilight”.

“New Moon” from director Chris Weitz stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Kellan Lutz and potentially Dakota Fanning. The “Twilight” sequel is slated to open on Nov. 20, 2009.
