In addition to breaking out in “Sling Blade” in 1996, Thornton appears in “Eagle Eye” in 2008 (which was filmed in part in Chicago) with Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan, “The Informers” in 2008, “Manure” in 2008, “Tulia” in 2008, “Duplicity” in 2009 and “Peace Like a River” in 2009.
