It’s a teenage getaway from the city to the woods, specifically a cabin. But the house contains a secret, and the teens unwittingly get pulled into it. One by one, they begin to disappear, and when those left behind begin to realize their friends are being murdered, it might be too late. Danny Trejo portrays an “officer” of the law, who might be their only hope. The tense slasher/horror movie also has a loose sense of humor, and throws in a Latin flavor through the story legends and casting.
In the following Podtalk, writer Yelyna De Leon and director Luis Iga of “Murder in the Woods” talk about their influences and the almost magical way that Danny Trejo became involved in the film.
