CHICAGO – The irrepressible character of Kurt Hummel from the popular TV series “Glee” came to Naperville, Ill. in the guise of Chris Colfer: the actor who portrays him. Colfer is also an author and was at Anderson’s Bookshop to greet fans and promote his book “The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning”.

Colfer was born in Clovis, Calif. and showed an interest in singing and musical theater from an early age. After making a notable short film at the age of 18, he was cast one year later as Kurt Hummel on “Glee”. He won a Golden Globe in 2011 for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series. Colfer is also a prolific author and has produced the third book for his young adult “Land of Stories” series. After “The Wishing Spell” and “The Enchantress Returns,” the latest is subtitled “A Grimm Warning”.

Photographer Joe Arce took these exclusive portraits of Chris Colfer as he greeted fans and signed autographs at his book promotion on July 11, 2014.
