Exclusive Portrait: ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Gwendoline Christie

CHICAGO – “Winter is Coming” in Season 4 of the “Game of Thrones,” the popular epic series on HBO. The anticipation of the new season culminates in the first episode premiere of the new season on Sunday, April 6th, at 9pm/8pm Central. Actress Gwendoline Christie portrays Brienne of Tarth in the series.

Gwendoline Christie had long been suggested for the role on fan sites, before she landed it in July of 2011, for the second season, third episode of the show. It has been just announced that Ms. Christie will replace Lily Rabe as Commander Lyme in the film, “Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.”
