Here is the plot description for “Grimm”:
“Grimm” is a new drama series inspired by the classic Grimm’s fairy tales. Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli, “Turn the Beat Around”) discovers he is descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as “Grimms”. He’s charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world.
As he tries to hide the dangers of his new calling from his fiancé, Juliette Silverton (Bitsie Tulloch, “quarterlife”), and his partner, Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby, “Lincoln Heights”), he becomes ever-more entrenched in the ancient rivalries and alliances of the Grimm world.
With help from his confidant, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell, “Prison Break”), a reformed Grimm creature himself, Nick must navigate through the forces of a larger-than-life mythology. He faces off with Hexenbiests, Blutbads and all manner of ancient evils including royal lines dating back to the original profilers themselves: The Grimm Brothers. Reggie Lee (“Persons Unknown”) and Sasha Roiz (“Caprica”) also star.

What is your all-time favorite fairy tale and why?
Shrek is pretty cool. Typically we are told that the prince gets the princess or fair maiden. In this story, it is an ogor which to me is a metaphor for the average guy. Anybody can get the fair maiden or have wealth and success. A little magic or course never hurts.
Favorite Fairy Tale
It would have to be beauty and the beast. It shows how the power of love can change anything. It shows how you should never judge a book by its cover. It also shows that just because someone is mean or bad or ugly, they can still have a good side to them.
Fairy Tale
Hansel and Grettel - because they got to eat at the end….
The Tinderbox
when my daughter was a child, we listened to fairytales on tapes during long road trips. Our favorite was The tinderbox narrated by a british actress with a heavily accented voice. When she spoke of a dog with eyes as big as mill wheels, we always said “Oh my”.
Fairytale
Cinderella I love she finds her prince charming
