Major Delays for Indie Films

The financial crisis has made it very difficult for independent films to raise capital and get proper distribution. A film my company produced could not get released for a couple years because so many distributors went belly up.

I grew up

good question. the recent financial crisis is still affecting me. while i’m happy that I am employed, I can’t help but feel the worry and sense the concern from countless friends that are not employed, are underemployed or are saddled with excessive private student loan debt without a way to pay for it.

I have become more prudent in my financial choices, opting to buy gift cards for my favorite lunch spots, in part to limit my choices, so I wont over spend each day while on lunch. I also better track my spending through the online software mint.com becuase it is free and so cool to utilize.

I have finally become a responsible adult, albeit with a shoe and jean fetish, but with so much more concern and thoughtfulness in my decisions to shop, if I do so at all. This is huge and I have come a long way. The crisis got me to really take my choices seriously and I can’t say I did that wholeheartedly before.
