Here is the plot description for “Texas Killing Fields”:

Inspired by true events, this tense and haunting thriller follows Detective Souder (Sam Worthington) (a homicide detective in a small Texan town) and partner Detective Heigh (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) (a transplanted New York City cop) as they track a sadistic serial killer who dumps mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh called “The Killing Fields”.

Though the swampland crime scenes are outside their jurisdiction, Detective Heigh is unable to turn his back on solving the gruesome murders. Despite his partner’s warnings, he sets out to investigate the crimes. Before long, the killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives and teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead. When familiar local girl Anne (Chloë Grace Moretz) goes missing, the detectives find themselves racing against time to catch the killer and save the young girl’s life.

Directed by Ami Canaan Mann and produced by Michael Mann and Michael Jaffe, “Texas Killing Fields” also stars Jessica Chastain (“Tree of Life,” “The Help”), Jason Clarke (“Public Enemies,” FOX’s “Chicago Code”) and Stephen Graham (“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”). Executive producers are Bill Block, Paul Hanson, Justin Thompson, Anthony J.A. Bryan Jr., Ethan Smith, John Friedberg and Michael Ohoven with music by Dickon Hinchliffe.

Serial Killers

I think there is a combination of reasons why serial killers kill. The first reason is because they can. Since it felt so good for them the first time and they got away with it they can’t help but feel that high again. Another reason is due to boredom.

Serial Killers

Serial Killers kill for the fame their killings create and they like having the power to make lots of people afraid. They also get off on it like a drug.

Seriel Killers

I think that do it to serve some need they have. That need tcould be different for each killer, so it depends on if you can get into their mind and figure it out.

Each one may have their own reason for why they kill. if its gender specific then an examination of how they feel about that gender and the reason behind it is worth exploring. if its anybody there may be a strong feeling regarding people in general.
