Chicago, Second City To Destruction

Chicago is rarely ever seen destroyed in all the films, which I guess makes me feel safer living here, but I feel really unrepresented.

Chicago is just as awesome as New York and Los Angeles, so why can’t we get a little destruction our way? We have one of the largest buildings on the western hemisphere, the current president of the US came from and still has a home here. That’s why destroying Chicago would probably be more devastating than destroying any other city.

Why is Chicago the perfect city to be blown up in a blockbuster?

Not since Independence Day, where we witnessed the White House being blown up, is a place more deserving than Chicago. Am I right?

Blow The Chi Up!

Because Chicago isn’t a stranger to being destoryed just to be rebuilt. We’re so used to it being fires that take the city down, why not something new? Why not something bigger?
