Here is the plot description for “Falling Skies”:

In the devastating wake of an all-out invasion of the planet by an alien military force, ordinary people must do extraordinary things to survive in TNT’s powerful new series “Falling Skies”. The show stars Noah Wyle (“ER”) and comes to TNT from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg. “Falling Skies” is slated to air over eight weeks beginning with the two-hour premiere on June 19, 2011 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show will then move into its regular time slot on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

“Falling Skies” opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few remaining survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force whose nature and purpose remains a mystery.

At the center of “Falling Skies” is Tom Mason (Noah Wyle): a Boston history professor whose family has been torn apart. His wife was killed shortly after the initial attack and one of his three sons has been taken captive by the aliens for some unknown purpose.

Tom must now put his extensive knowledge of military history to the test as second in command of the 2nd Massachusetts: a regiment of resistance fighters protecting a large group of civilian survivors. They are constantly trying to gain intelligence about the aliens in order to one day outsmart and overtake them and hopefully rebuild their lives.

A TV promo for “Falling Skies” can be watched now below.

Alien Attack

I would stand my ground, not be intimidated by the alien foes. I would gather up all the household items I have that could be used as weapons and fight back.

How would you fight an unknown alien attack?

You would have to find the weakness and then exploit it.

Unconventionally

If aliens managed to successfully travel billions of light years to attack us, chances are they know a thing or two about human defense capabilities. We’d have to surprise them with our ingenuity.

how would I fight...

I would find out what their vulnerabilities are and attack that.

How would you fight an unknown alien attack?

I would put on my tin foil hat think for awhile call my friends and call my neighbors (safety in numbers). Then we would join forces and kill them. In case you didn;’t know they can’t stand household cleaning products.

TV, DVD, BLU-RAY & THEATER REVIEWS

  • Bobby Pin Girls

CHICAGO – The “breeder years” are difficult on everyone, as the biological imperative becomes overwhelming and the couplings that result yield both discovery and misadventure. Nothing Without a Company’s new play “Bobby Pin Girls” highlight two such Millennial women, roommates who are having man trouble, although the argument can be made that it’s eternally “boy trouble.” The show has a Thursday-Sunday run at the Chicago Mosaic School through December 10th, 2017. Click here for more details, including ticket information.

  • Transformers 5 front

CHICAGO – Knock me over with a feather kids, but I enjoyed “Transformers: The Last Knight.” Maybe it was in comparison to the others or maybe director Michael Bay has beaten me into submission, but this one had the right story elements and casting to make it work, with exceptions of course. It’s goofiness is its charm, and it was released on Blu-Ray/DVD on September 26th, 2017 (Digital HD already available).
