CHICAGO – We won’t know for sure until Sunday at the earliest (when NBC holds a press conference call about their official Monday fall schedule announcement), but several outlets are reporting that, drum roll please, “Chuck” is coming back. The annual bubble show that this critic predicted would get the death-sentence reprieve has been saved yet again.

These are just rumors at this point (reported by TV by the Numbers) but it certainly wouldn’t be too surprising. “Chuck” has a loyal following and NBC has enough holes to fill that they can’t be blamed for keeping the low-rated program on the air instead of taking another risk with a new one.

Yesterday, NBC renewed “Harry’s Law” and canceled “Law & Order: Los Angeles.”

Stay tuned to HollywoodChicago.com for all the breaking news as the fall schedules are announced bit-by-bit this week and in their entirety next week.
