Expendables
NO.often a good cast can bomb! It does bring out the revenues, though!
No, a powerhouse cast does
No, a powerhouse cast does not guarantee a quality film. In order for the movie to be of great quality the plot must be interesting and unpredictable to audiences. Yes, the actors can enhance the quality with their natural abilities but it takes more support behind the scenes to make it a quality film.
Powerful cast
While a list of powerful castmembers may draw viewers to the screening or first week run, it won’t hold or attract vieweres unless there is more—good action and storyline as well as tight editing to be sure the storyline moves along productively.
I think this group does
I think this group does because it’s hilarious to see these old action stars together in one movie!
Powerhouse group = quality
Quantity does not necessarily equal quality.
Not at all
I don’t think an ensemble cast guarantees a quality film, but it does guarantee droves of fans will fill theater seats. This particular film is EPIC because you are not only taking film stars, but Action genre legends and putting them together on screen, which has never happened before! I think there will be quality in terms of onscreen chemistry, I have been following the production and have yet to hear about egos closings or “diva demands”, which speaking to their humility.
I would have loved to see Wesley Snipes or Jean Claude Van Damme, and Steven Segal, maybe in the sequel (crossing fingers)
BTW
Isn’t Stallone directing thus film? That can’t help either. Still looking forward to this
A powerhouse cast doesn’t
A powerhouse cast doesn’t mean a quality film, its more based on the movie/story plot itself. However, good cast generally will bring in the consumers!
Quality Film?
Ever the optimist, I believe an all star cast helps.
"EXPENDABLES"
No,i don’t think so.
