Here is “The Greatest” plot description:

An award-winning drama that represents Shana Feste’s debut as a writer and director, “The Greatest” stars Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon as Allen and Grace Brewer. They’re a grief-stricken couple whose family has been pushed to the breaking point by the death of their older son, Bennett, in a car crash.

When a young woman, Rose, (Cary Mulligan) shows up a few months later announcing that she is pregnant with Bennett’s child, the Brewers are forced to take her in. At first, Rose’s presence threatens to tear the family even further apart. Eventually, her interaction with each of the Brewers proves to be the very thing that brings them back together.

What Silver Lining

I recently found out my brother and cousin were simultaneously diagnosed with a terminal illness. Thank god for medical technology today. Without it, they would have died weeks ago. Instead they can live a lot longer than we anticipated.

Finding the silver lining

Looking at the big picture helps one realize it is composed of smaller pieces. While I was disappointed not to obtain a job I had hoped for, another one came through that was more appealing and suited to my background.

the death of my brother at the age of 14 months from a heart condition was instrumental in the successful treatment of my/our sister many years later from a congenital heart defect

Tragedy

I haven’t experienced a tragedy yet. I hope my first one is a long way off, when I’ll be more mature to handle it.
