Exclusive Portrait: Pamela Anderson is ‘Dancing With the Stars’

CHICAGO – Pamela Anderson is very busy these days. Besides just being named for the new season of ABC-TV’s “Dancing With the Stars,” she recently made a Chicago area appearance for her new perfumes, “Malibu” and “Malibu Nights.”

Anderson will join Kate Gosselin, Shannon Doherty and astronaut Buzz Aldrin, among others, for the Monday, March 22nd premiere of the first 2010 edition of Dancing With the Stars.

Pamela Anderson was recently captured by HollywoodChicago.com’s ace photographer Joe Arce at the Chicago launch of her new fragrances, Malibu and Malibu Nights. Admirers lined up 15 hours in advance at the Sears at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg (Illinois) on Saturday, March 6th. Anderson posed for pictures with the fans and autographed her new perfume.

THEATER, TV, DVD & BLU-RAY REVIEWS

  • Operation: Endgame

CHICAGO – As someone who has often gone home with a straight-to-DVD action movie that I hadn’t heard of before entering the video store, I know how easy it is to get drawn into something that looks a little bit left-of-center. “Operation: Endgame” is undeniably unusual but that doesn’t mean it’s any good.

  • The Prowler

CHICAGO – When did all slasher pics from the early ’80s become “cult classics”? You will find very few people as well-versed in the sub-genre as this writer who will gladly contrast and compare “Friday the 13th” sequels or discuss the merits of “April Fool’s Day,” “Basket Case,” and “My Bloody Valentine.” And yet not every film from the era deserves a cult following merely because it has grisly deaths, some T&A, and a twist ending. For example, take “The Prowler,” now out on Blu-ray from the great Blue Underground.
