Store to Feature Special Midnight DVD Release Party

      WHATBLOCKBUSTER®
      stores throughout the Chicago area are staying open past midnight on
      Monday, Dec. 8 so fans can buy or rent copies of the anticipated “Dark
      Knight” DVD when it is released in the early hours of Dec. 9.

      A special “Dark Knight” celebration
      will be held at the BLOCKBUSTER store at 10401 S. Cicero Ave. in Oak
      Lawn. Here, KISS-FM personality Ty Bentli will host a celebration that
      includes giveaways of a Blu-ray player, copies of the Dark Knight on
      DVD, free Blockbuster movie rental cards to the first 50 Dark Knight
      fans and station prizes.

      WHYThe DVD release of
      “The Dark Knight” is expected to draw fans of the brooding Batman
      film featuring Christian Bale as Batman and a chilling version of The
      Joker portrayed by the late Heath Ledger.  “The Dark Knight”
      is currently the highest grossing movie of 2008 in North America and
      worldwide, and it is the second highest grossing movie of all time domestically.

      WHENMonday, Dec. 8 until
      11:59 p.m. - Fans line up to get their copies of “Dark Knight”

      Tuesday, Dec. 9 after 12:00 a.m.
      – “Dark Knight” available to purchase or rent

      Activities at the Oak Lawn Blockbuster
      store will run from 10 p.m. on Dec. 8 until 1 a.m. on Dec. 9.

      events is free and open to the public. Copies of “The Dark Knight”
      are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
