Spike Jonze's $75 million 'Where the Wild Things Are' to be entirely reshot?!

Just in from /Film, which is citing CHUD:

Where the Wild Things Are

Sabotage!?! There’s incredibly weird, and increasingly depressing, buzz coming off Spike Jonze’s Where the Wild Things Are, and now Chud reports that execs at Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are considering reshooting the entire $75 million friggin’ movie! This news, of course, comes on top of the rather cool test footage that leaked last weekend, and the rather subdued statement Jonze released yesterday concerning the early footage.

Click here for the full /Film story. This has also been picked up by Hollywood Elsewhere:

Extremely well placed sources have told CHUD’s Devin Faraci that Spike Jonze’s Where The Wild Things Are is the subject of a “behind-the-scenes debate” at Warner Bros and Legendary as the suits are very unhappy with the film and with the lead child actor (i.e., Max Records) and want to reshoot essentially the whole picture.

THEATER, TV, DVD & BLU-RAY REVIEWS

  • CHICAGO – We have written several times about the strength of the 2009-2010 television season with an incredible number of rookie hits and many of those great programs are now coming out on DVD.

  • House: Season Six

CHICAGO – With the departure of Adrian Monk (“Monk”), Jack Bauer (“24”) and Jack Shephard (“Lost”) along with the stoppage of the revolving door of personalities at “Law & Order,” there are very few time-tested icons left on television. One of the remaining TV characters that will clearly have a chapter of his own in the history books of the medium is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) and his stellar sixth season of the FOX medical drama was recently released in an excellent Universal set.
