Dreadful Penny's Exquisite Horrors

TANTALUS THEATRE GROUP PRESENTS THE WORLD PREMIERE OF
DREADFUL PENNY’S EXQUISITE HORRORS

(Jan 8 - Chicago, IL) After nearly five years, Tantalus Theatre Group is proud to kick off their 2008 season with the world premiere remount of Dreadful Penny’s Exquisite Horrors; a psychological and poetic horror show. Opening February 8th, audiences can expect to be frightened and horrified by terrifying feats of depth and perception as the production focuses on the effects of turning their minds to violence. Dreadful Penny’s Exquisite Horrors will have an eight week run through March 29th.

Audiences will be taken “to an uncanny sideshow of longing and desire where all manner of monstrosities are revealed and reveled in, and nothing is forbidden,” said Tantalus Theatre Group’s Artistic Director, Glen Cullen. Given the nature of Dreadful Penny’s Exquisite Horrors’ content, audience discretion is advised. The variety-show style production aims to cut to the audiences’ proverbial core through the acts presented by Dreadful Penny, the manipulatively seductive emcee. Dreadful Penny’s Exquisite Horrors will be presented on Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. in the Loft at the Bailiwick Arts Center, located at 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago, IL 60657, from February 8th through March 29th.
