HollywoodChicago.com film critic Adam Fendelman wrote in his 2.5 out of 5.0 review of the new film “Smart People” with Ellen Page, Thomas Haden Church, Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker:

Adam Fendelman wrote:”Smart People” was supposed to be comedic drama with a splash of romance. Instead, I have been misled. It’s a blandly scripted “poor me” with an attempt at a plot and some glitzy Hollywood names thrown in for good box-office measure.
