Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story Start: 19:00 End: 21:00 The most successful rock ‘n’ roll musical of all time, playing to over 20 million delirious fans, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, will be presented at Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place, 175 E. Chestnut Street Chicago, IL 60611. Following its sold out run at Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace, the production will preview September 10 and run through November 2. The Boys from Syracuse Start: 19:30 End: 21:30 David Bell’s brand new adaptation of the classic Richard Rodgers (The King & I, South Pacific, The Sound of Music) and Laurence Hart hit The Boys from Syracuse, will make its Chicago Premiere August 7, open August 14 and run through September 28 at Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

TV Review: ‘24’ Searches For ‘Redemption’ With Prequel to Season Seven

While overhearing this conversation between two young women at the recent Chicago opening of “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story,” I realized there were no better words to sum up Drury Lane’s recent jukebox-blaring, toe-tapping homage to one of the greatest rock and rollers of all time.
