I still have that screener sitting in my 2007 pile of “not-yet-watched screeners”. Still, it’s high on my list of “screeners to watch soon”.

I’m very, very picky about scary movies. They almost never scare me. You’re saying “The Orphanage” does the trick? If so, can you explain why?

For example, I fight with people about why “The Ring” was scary to me. Death and destruction and blood aren’t usually scary to me. “The Ring” made excellent use of sounds, uncomfortable imagery and fast motions. It got in my head and made me squirm. I loved it.
