“Postal” is insulting, irreverent, politically incorrect and funny as hell. It follows two days in the life of the Postal Dude in the regrettably named town of Paradise. Just when he thinks he has hit rock bottom, things get worse.

After a humiliating job interview and a nearly lethal trip to the welfare office, Dude finds himself on the doorstep of his Uncle Dave. Despite being the successful leader of the town cult, Dave is also finding himself in financial difficulties. Together, Dude and Dave hatch a plan to steal some valuable merchandise.

Unfortunately for them, the much better organized and much better equipped Taliban has converged on Paradise for more sinister reasons. Things spiral out of control when Osama bin Laden is forced to call in friend George W. Bush as back up. Few are left standing by the time Dude turns his back on Paradise.

Here’s a description of the new film, which is scheduled to open on June 6, 2008.

Oscar-nominated actor John C. Reilly (“Chicago,” “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby”) and Seann William Scott (“American Pie”) lend their deft comedic touch to the story of two mid-level Chicago supermarket employees – Doug and Richard (a dubious new guy from Canada) – who compete ruthlessly for a coveted managerial post.

Doug and Richard couldn’t be more different, but going head to head in a contest of wits and will reveals how they have more in common than they thought. The duo battle toward a hilarious final showdown that will leave you guessing until the very end. The film is the directorial debut of Steve Conrad (writer of “The Pursuit of Happyness”).

Here is the “Four Christmases” plot description:

In the comedy “Four Christmases,” Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) are a happy, loving and normal couple. In order to stay that way, they have managed to avoid spending extended time with their decidedly abnormal families at all costs and especially during the holidays.

This year’s plan was the same as always: make up a believable excuse to miss Christmas and instead head to sunny Fiji for a holiday week of relaxation and fun. But chance intervenes as bad weather has grounded all flights.

When a news reporter covering the story catches Brad and Kate on camera, their cell phones start ringing. They’re caught red handed. Their families now know. Goodbye, Fiji. Hello, trouble.

Brad and Kate are now forced to face their worst fears by visiting all four of their divorced parents in one day and celebrate four Christmases.

One house is tougher and more revealing than the next in a constant comedy of errors that will ultimately test the strength of their relationship. One thing is for sure: it will be a Christmas they will never forget no matter how hard they try.

“Four Christmases” is directed by Seth Gordon (“The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters”) and stars Robert Duvall, Jon Favreau, Mary Steenbugen, Dwight Yoakam, Tim McGraw, Kristin Chenoweth, Jon Voight and Sissy Spacek. This film is not yet rated.

“The Eye” stars Jessica Alba and also features Parker Posey. The film, which opens on Feb. 1, is a remake the Hong Kong film “Jian Gui” about a woman who receives an eye transplant that allows her to see into the supernatural world. Here’s the full IMDb plot outline for “The Eye”:

Sydney – a young, blind violinist – is given the chance to see for the first time since childhood through a miraculous corneal transplant.

As Sydney adjusts to a dizzying new world of colors and shapes, she is haunted by frightening visions of death itself capturing the doomed and dragging them away from the world of the living.

Terrorized and on the brink of insanity, Sydney must discover whose eyes she has inherited and what secret visions they have held.
